This mammoth work will include, side by side, more than 100 color profiles of both Japanese and Fifth AF aircraft, which fought each other over New Guinea skies. It is only in recent years that sufficient data has become available to accurately re-create both the accounts and color profiles from the Japanese perspective. The work will focus on both quintessential battles such as the Bismarck Sea, the Rabaul raids, as well as esoteric and isolated encounters. We are presently collaborating with Japanese researchers in Japan, using original unit records and diaries to ensure historical accuracy.

(The sample is deliberately set at low resolution to prevent copyright infringement. When published these profiles will highlight a high level of detail and color accuracy only available with modern technology).
