Army twin-engined Lily bombers were ineffectual against the Fifth, largely due to their limited range and limited payload. Many were destroyed on the ground during the low-level campaigns against Wewak. This Ki-48 of the 2nd Chutai of the 208th Sentai was one such aircraft.
