  UNRESOLVED CASE - B-24J # 42-100225 of the 408th Bombardment Squadron, 22nd Bombardment Group

CILHI Chief Field Officer, Brian Bennett has once again found another definite MIA site through deploying his network of native inhabitants. Brian has discovered human remains at an aircraft crash site at an atlitude of 4,500 feet in the Finesterre Ranges.

On return from the Black Sunday mission to Hollandia, this Liberator disappeared in bad weather. It was last sighted out to sea, north of Saidor. The site was excavated in 2002, and crew remains recovered.
