PRIVACY STATEMENT

We are more aware of the dangers of the internet than most. Despite our stringent security practices, our URL was briefly hijacked in 2008 by a Chinese aphrodesiac company! The unfortunate reality is that without protection the internet is a dangerous place. Having been a victim of spam and viruses ourselves, we are committed to your privacy. Here are answers to some basic IT security questions:

What data do we collect automatically ?

None.

Do we use Cookies or Tracers?

No, we do not. In our view, cookies are a double-edged sword. Essentially, they place data files on your hard drive through your website server. They can also be used for tracking purposes, or in some cases, to make the site easier to use. Cookies can effectively identify an anonymous visitor, and understand how they navigate a targeted web site. If you detect cookies emanating from our site, please let us know and we will track them to the originator. With most internet browsers (we recommend Minefield or some similar secure product), you should be able to block them, or at least receive a warning before one is stored. Some websites track scripts or "tracers" that recognize a unique identifier from a cookie placed on your hard drive by another website. We do not use ANY tracers to gather information on your use of the internet. We strongly suggest you use a powerful firewall if driving a 32-bit system, such as ZONEALARM. If your computer is pwerful enough, we suggest you switch to a 64-bit operating system.

What about external links?

For your convenience, we provide suggested links to third-party web sites. These sites are not operated or controlled by Aerothentic, and we cannot be responsible for their privacy practices, or the content of their sites.
