Another Warhawk in a remote tropical location |

7th Fighter Squadron 49th Fighter Group Based at Batchelor Field, Australia's Northern Territory from March to September 1942 Swing It was written off in mid December 1942 at 17-Mile Drome in New Guinea when 2/Lt Harry Dilworth crashed it during a landing. It had a light blue stripe on fuselage to denote flight leader Ray Melikian to whom it was assigned. Swing It was allocated squadron #30, and is seen here at Batchelor before being lost.
