This dramatic marking stared appearing on nearly all
312th Bombardment Group A-20Gs from around late April 1944 onwards.
Each nose art was individualized, and this is a better example of the
type. One can only imagine the reaction of Japanese infantry caught
at low level by such A-20s.
The six forward-firing nose .50 calibre Browning machine
guns are clearly seen in this photo.
