To the right of the explicit nose-art of Shoo-Shoo Baby can be seen the distinguished and easily discernible 'Red Raider' shield which so clearly marks this Liberator as belonging to the 22nd Bombardment Group.

This shield started appearing on the Group's Liberators in late 1944 onwards, and the shield color was, not surprisingly, bright red. This particular photo was taken on Owi Island in early 1944.
