Despite her name she had a sudden and tragic end. She was hit by a violet
burst of AA over Hansa Bay off Awar Point on 11th March 1944 and her
pilot, 1/Lt Herbert G Tennyson and his crew were never recovered. The
nose-art is some of the 90th Bombardment Group's finest however, and
this Liberator was assigned to its 320th Bombardment Squadron.
