  F-5B-1-LO 'Missouri Outlaw' Serial Unknown

25th Photo Reconnaissance Squadron

6th Photo Group

Fifth Air Force

Missouri Outlaw served with the 25th PRS, and survived the war.

The F-5B had two camera  ports on the starboard side. The third ( forward) dark spot is an opened inspection plate. There were also vertical cameras in the nose.

This shot is taken in early 1945 at Tacloban in the Philippines when both the 25th and 26th PRS were actively flying reconnaissance to provide intelligence information for miltary ground operations. It was lonely work, and there are still several F-4s and F-5s missing-in -action to this day.
