Water Heater
Another story brought to you by Aerothentic

The officers in the Headquarters detachment of the 3rd Attack Group went to extraordinary measures to have hot-water showers in the morning at Charters Towers, Queensland. What you see here is an all-American piece of ingenuity, being a steel tank salavaged from a nearby Queensland gold mine. The 3rd Attack boys dug a pit underneath for a fire box, and then installed a pressure regulator system using a hydraulic accumulator from one fo their wrecked Douglas A-20As . It all worked out fine, until the lads moved to Kila Drome New Guinea and had to leave it all behind . . . the final demise of this fine apparatus remains unknown to this day. Aerothentic is proud to bring you some of the more esoteric finery of the forgotten Fifth Air Force . . .
